Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Thamel or a similar tourist area.
In the evening, a short trek briefing session will be conducted covering the route, altitude challenges, packing checklist, and permit procedures.
Today is dedicated to trek preparation and permit arrangements. You may also explore cultural landmarks such as Kathmandu Durbar Square or Boudhanath Stupa.
A final gear check will be completed for the remote high-altitude journey.
After breakfast, take a scenic flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur.
From there, continue by jeep through tea gardens, terraced fields, and beautiful eastern hill landscapes toward Ilam or Phidim.

A long jeep drive takes you through rugged mountain roads toward Taplejung and further to Sekathum, the starting point of the trek.

The trail follows the Ghunsa Khola valley through dense bamboo forests, waterfalls, and suspension bridges.
After a steady uphill climb, arrive at the small settlement of Amjilosa.
Continue through rhododendron and pine forests with gradual elevation gain.
Reach the peaceful village of Gyabla surrounded by forested hills.
The landscape opens into alpine terrain with views of snow-capped peaks.
Pass through small settlements before arriving at Ghunsa, a traditional Sherpa village with monasteries and prayer flags.
A rest day for acclimatization. Optional short hikes toward higher ridges help the body adjust to altitude.
Explore monasteries, prayer wheels, and local Sherpa culture around the village.
The trail follows a glacial valley with dramatic views of Mt. Jannu (Kumbhakarna).
The terrain becomes rocky and alpine as you reach Kambachen.
Another important acclimatization day with optional hikes to nearby viewpoints.
Enjoy spectacular glacier and mountain scenery.
Trek through barren high-altitude landscapes surrounded by moraine and glacier fields.
Arrive at Lhonak, a remote settlement in the upper valley.
Today you reach Pangpema, the North Base Camp of Kanchenjunga.
Witness breathtaking views of Kanchenjunga’s massive north face and surrounding glaciers before returning to Lhonak.
Descend through the same glacial valley back toward Ghunsa.
Vegetation gradually returns as altitude decreases.
Leave the main valley and ascend toward the remote Sele La ridge area.
The route passes through alpine meadows and isolated landscapes.
Cross several high passes including Sele La and Sinion La with incredible panoramic Himalayan views.
Descend into the southern valley and arrive at Tseram.
Follow the Yalung Glacier through a dramatic alpine environment.
Reach Ramche, the base area for the South Base Camp.
Hike to Oktang Viewpoint, the South Base Camp of Kanchenjunga.
Enjoy close-up views of the mountain’s south face and surrounding glacier landscapes before returning to Tseram.
Descend through rhododendron forests and river valleys toward lower elevations.
Overnight stay at Tortong.
Pass through traditional villages inhabited by Limbu, Rai, and Sherpa communities.
Yamphudin marks the end of the restricted trekking region.
Drive through eastern Nepal’s scenic tea garden landscapes and rolling hills.
Overnight stay at lodge.
Morning drive to Bhadrapur followed by a flight back to Kathmandu.
Free evening for rest, shopping, or exploration.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your international departure flight.
