Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek is one of the most popular short treks in Nepal’s Annapurna region. The trek passes through traditional Gurung and Magar villages, terraced farmlands, and beautiful rhododendron forests inside the Annapurna Conservation Area.

The highlight of the trek is the sunrise view from Poon Hill (3,210m), offering panoramic views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and surrounding Himalayan peaks. This trek combines natural beauty, cultural experience, and easy accessibility from Pokhara.

    Detail Itinerary

    Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and start trekking through villages, riverside trails, and terraced fields.

    The trail gradually ascends through Tikhedhunga and continues to Ulleri, a traditional Magar village.

    Overnight stay at Ulleri.

    Trek through dense rhododendron and oak forests with steady uphill sections.

    Enjoy natural scenery and occasional mountain views along the way.

    Reach Ghorepani, a scenic mountain village surrounded by forests and peaks.

    Overnight stay at Ghorepani.

    Early morning hike to Poon Hill (3,210m) for sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges.

    After returning to Ghorepani for breakfast, continue trekking through forests and ridges to Tadapani.

    Overnight stay at Tadapani.

    Trek downhill through lush forests and scenic landscapes.

    Reach Ghandruk, one of the most famous Gurung villages in the region.

    Explore traditional culture, local museum, and mountain views.

    Overnight stay at Ghandruk.

    Short downhill trek to road point (Syauli Bazaar/Nayapul area).

    Drive back to Pokhara, marking the end of the trek.
