Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. In the evening, a detailed pre-trek briefing will be conducted covering the itinerary, trekking preparation, permit formalities, safety guidelines, and last-minute gear checks to ensure a smooth and well-organized journey.
We will leave Kathmandu early in the morning and drive towards Syabrubesi, the starting point of the Langtang Valley Trek. The drive takes most of the day and offers beautiful views of rivers, terraced hills, small villages, and mountain landscapes along the way. It is a long but scenic journey. Upon arrival, we will settle into a local lodge for overnight stay.
Today we begin our actual trekking journey. We will walk along forested trails following the Langtang Khola river. The route includes gentle ascents, suspension bridges, and peaceful forest sections filled with bamboo, oak, and subtropical vegetation. The walking time is around 3 to 4 hours, making it a comfortable first trekking day. We will reach Lama Hotel and stay overnight in a teahouse.
We continue our trek deeper into the valley. The trail gradually ascends through dense forests and opens up to wider mountain views. Along the way, we pass small settlements and grazing areas before reaching the rebuilt Langtang Village. The walking duration is around 4 to 5 hours, and the day offers a good mix of nature and cultural experience. Overnight stay at Langtang Village.
Today’s walk is shorter but very scenic. We gradually ascend through Mundu and Ghora Tabela, where the valley becomes wider and more alpine in nature. As we move forward, the surrounding peaks become more visible and dramatic. After around 4 to 5 hours of walking, we arrive at Kyanjin Gompa, the most important settlement in the valley. Evening is free for short exploration and rest.
We stay at Kyanjin Gompa for acclimatization and take a side hike to either Kyanjin Ri or Tserko Ri. This is an important day for altitude adjustment and also one of the highlights of the trek. We will walk uphill for approximately 4 to 6 hours in total, enjoying panoramic views of Langtang Lirung, glaciers, and surrounding Himalayan ranges. After the hike, we return to the same lodge for rest.
We begin our return journey by descending back through the same trail. The walk today takes around 5 to 6 hours. Although it is downhill, the route is long and passes through forests, rivers, and familiar villages. We gradually lose altitude and return to Lama Hotel for overnight stay.
On our final trekking day, we continue descending through forest trails until we reach Syabrubesi. The walking duration is around 4 to 5 hours. After arriving, we take our vehicle and drive back to Kathmandu Upon arrival in the city, we transfer you to your hotel for rest and relaxation.
This day is kept as a buffer for flexibility. You can use it for rest after the trek, explore Kathmandu Valley’s cultural sites, or proceed with your international departure depending on your flight schedule.
